Bessy Berman is a jeweler who has recently been working in wood at the Santa Fe Community College (NM). She studied painting at Rhode Island School of Design and the Art Students League in NYC, and metalsmithing at the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe. Her intention with her wood studies is to at some point integrate the jewelry and metalwork together.
In the interim, she is turning bowls and carving spoons. She lives in SF is a mother of 2 wonderful human beings and has 2 grandchildren, one from each of her children. She spent 10 years in the Huerfano Valley living at the triple A and at their family place off Pass Creek road.
